BREAKING: Blue Forward Leaves The Game After Dirty Hit
Blues forward Pavel Buchnevich left tonight's game early after he took a cross-check from Kraken defenseman Jamie Oleksiak. The team announced on X that he would not return to the game. He is out with an upper-body injury.
Oleksiak Gets Away With Bad Crosscheck
Jamie Oleksiak crosschecked the Blues forward when the Kraken were on a penalty kill in the second period. There was no call on the play.
While it looked like a relatively harmless, dime-a-dozen crosscheck, Buchnevich fell awkwardly into the boards behind the net as a result of the shove. He then made his way to the Blues bench where he would eventually leave. The team announced later that he would not return.
Buchnevich figures to play a big role for the Blues this season as they look to retool on the fly and get back into the playoffs. If he misses a significant amount of time it would be a major loss for the team.
