When a player is drafted in the later rounds of the draft, it's very rare that they actually develop into NHL players. This 23 year old rookie defied the odds and worked his way up from the WHL, into the AHL where he has blossomed and was given a shot with the Blue Jackets this season.
Unfortunately for him though, today he has missed a team meeting due to oversleeping and has been sent back to the AHL.
#CBJ calling up Joona Luoto, Justin Richards and Marcus Bjork for today per head coach Brad Larsen. Jack Roslovic and Lane Pederson out with injury, Adam Boqvist still out ill. Trey Fix-Wolansky missed a team meeting and is being sent back to Cleveland. Jeff Svoboda (@JacketsInsider) April 1, 2023
Trey Fix-Wolansky is having a very good season in the AHL this year averaging well above a point per game, but after 7 games with the Blue Jackets he recorded 0 points.
