Gabriel Landeskog has served as captain of the Colorado Avalanche for 11 years. He missed this entire past campaign with injury.
Unfortunately, he is not quite done with injury woes.
Landeskog Will Miss Entire 2023-24 Season
The Colorado Avalanche officially announced today that captain Landeskog will be undergoing a cartilage transfer surgery to his knee.
This major operation will sideline him for all of this coming season.
For the Avalanche, who won the cup in 2022, this is truly crushing news. Their captain will miss two full seasons of play now.
Hopefully Landeskog will return with a vengeance in 2025.
Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will undergo a cartilage transplant in his right knee on May 10.�The surgery will be performed by Dr. Brian Cole at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.�The 30-year-old forward is expected to miss the entire 2023-24 season.
