BREAKING: GM issues UPDATE on Evander Kane's cut wrist

Incase you missed it tonight, Evander Kane was knocked to the ice while fighting for the puck and Tampa Bay Lightning's Pat Maroon unintentionally skated across his wrist, slicing it open.
The Edmonton Oilers General Manager has issued an update on Evanders health:

He has a deep cut on his wrist. He was stabilized and has gone to the hospital. Kane will have surgery on his wrist. He will be OK.
If this required surgery, would should not expect to see Evander for a few weeks at the minimum.
