The Montreal Canadiens have been a hot topic of late after the worst season in franchise history.
The Canadiens look to be making all the right moves as they rebuild towards the future.
One question that many Habs fans have been wondering is, what's the condition of Carey Price, and will he be able to play this season? Price has only played 30 games since the beginning of the 2020-21 season.
After carrying the team on his back taking them to the Stanley Cup final, Price had a disastrous year with his substance abuse departure and lingering knee injury Price only played in a handful of games at the end of the season. After winning his 700th regular season game last year many wondered if that was it for Price.
However Price's former Canadiens goaltending coach, Stephane Waite, gave a major update regarding Price:
Carey Price is good to go for September and has alot of good hockey left in him still.
This is definitely great news after many believed Price career was over.
Carey is planing to play a maximum of just 50 games with Jake Allen or Samuel Montembeault to play the the other 32 games. Price is 34 has five years remaining on his current contract that comes with a $10.5 million annual salary.
