The New York Islanders announced today that they have claimed defenseman Mike Reilly off of waivers from the Florida Panthers.

Reilly was placed on waivers after playing just two games this season with the Florida Panthers.

Reilly will provide stability to a defensive group that just lost a key piece Adam Pelech to a major injury. Reilly brings over 300 games of NHL experience with him to New York.
