Lightning add Motte after Archibald termination
The Tampa Bay Lightning have signed Forward Tyler Motte to a one-year, $800K contract, after the Lightning announced in a statement that Forward Josh Archibald, who signed to a two-year contract in July, was placed on Waivers for the purpose of a contract termination.
Archibald, via his agent Scott Bartlett of Bartlett Hockey, told the Lightning that he would be stepping away from Hockey for "personal reasons". Archibald had been set to make $800k, the same contract now given to Motte.
Motte, 28, had 8 Goals, 11 Assists & 19 Points in 62 Games between the Ottawa Senators and New York Rangers in the 2022-23 Season.
