The team announced on X that they have placed Josh Archibald on waivers to terminate his contract.

We have placed forward Josh Archibald on waivers for the purpose of terminating his contract.

Only months after signing a two-year contract with the Lightning, Archibald announced that he won't play hockey now and will not report to training camp. While the details of his decision haven't been released, we can't help but think something major is preventing him from playing.
