The NHL has made a decision on Vegas Golden Knights defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.

NHL Loosens Up On Pietrangelo

The NHL had the option to suspend Vegas' Alex Pietrangelo for 10 games, after the defenseman left the penalty box to engage in a scrum at the end of game 4. It appears as though the NHL won't be exercising that option with Pietrangelo, leaving many fans scratching their heads.

According to NHL rule 70.4, Pietrangelo should've faced a suspension for his actions.

At a stoppage of play following the expiration of their penalties, if a player or players exiting the penalty bench get involved in an altercation, those coming from the penalty bench shall be assessed the penalties they incur in the altercation in addition to a game misconduct and a ten (10) game suspension as outlined in 70.10. Should a player coming from the penalty bench ata stoppage of play get involved with an opponent and the opponent is deemed to be the instigator of the altercation, then the player coming from the penalty bench would not be subject to the game misconduct and ten (10) game suspension.

With the NHL appearing to go easy on Vegas time and time again, many fans think it's becoming increasingly obvious who the NHL favors. How can they excuse this behavior?
