Today Roberto Luongo suited up for one of his former NHL teams today in an odd situation.
Luongo Suits Up And Plays With His Former Team
Today it was announced that Florida Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky would not practice. Without time to make a call-up for practice the Panthers made an unconditional decision and had Roberto Luongo suit up for practice.
Bobrovsky not practicing today.
Filling in? Luuuuuu!
Luongo is working with the front office in Florida and was likely one of the few goalies they could have filled in. While it is fun to see Luongo back on the ice he would only ever see action as an EBUG. Even then there's likely another person designated as the EBUG besides Luongo.
