It was reported the other day that the New York Rangers wanted to move to a quicker, more skilled game in their bottom six forwards. They had a discussion with Ryan Reaves about this and it seemed like his days in New York were numbered.
Today the New York Rangers announced that Reaves has been traded!
OFFICIAL: #NYR have acquired a fifth-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft from the Wild in exchange for Ryan Reaves.
Reaves is in the final year of a contract that pays $1,750,000.
While Reaves doesn't provide any offense, he definitely brings a physical presence if a team is looking to push back.
