BREAKING: Thompson Traded To Division Rival
We've just had a trade in the NHL, involving a Quebecer forward who will now be with the New Jersey Devils.
Thompson Traded For Durandeau
As reported by David Pagnotta, the New York Islanders have acquired Tyce Thompson from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Arnaud Durandeau.
Durandeau, a native of Montreal, is 24 years old and has played 4 games in the NHL. He amassed 55 points in 68 games last season with Bridgeport of the AHL. This season has been slower with 4 points in 12 games.
He was good with the Halifax Mooseheads in the QMJHL with 73 points in 68 games in his final junior season.
As for Tyce Thompson, he is 24 years old, a 4th round pick of the Devils in 2019, and has played 11 games in the NHL. In the AHL, he collected 26 points in 56 games last season, and 5 points in 15 games this season.
He was strong in the NCAA posting 44 points in 34 games his last season. He is the brother of Sabres star Tage Thompson.
