The Tampa Bay Lightning ended their losing streak with a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers last night.
In the game's final two minutes, Tony DeAngelo used a familiar tactic that resulted in him being buried under a pile of Lightning players. DeAngelo speared Corey Perry in the groin, sparking the altercation.
After seeing what DeAngelo had done to their teammate, veteran Eyssimont, Maroon, and Bogosian all wanted to confront DeAngelo.
It has now been announced that Tony DeAngelo has been suspended:
Philadelphia's Tony DeAngelo has been suspended for two games for Spearing Tampa Bay's Corey Perry.
