Last night, the Minnesota Wild were hosting the Calgary Flames, and the Wild's Ryan Hartman received a 4 minute penalty. Usually when a player is in the box for 4 minutes it's due to a high sticking doubling minor, but this was not the case, and one could argue that Hartman deserved a lot more, which the NHL's Department of Player Safety will most likely announce today.
On the play, the whistle blows, but Ryan Hartman continues to deliver a two-hand slash directly to the hands of Flames Rasmus Andersson. Then Hartman proceeds to sucker punch Trevor Lewis in the face.
