At the end of last season the Vegas Golden Knights had quite a bit of drama amongst the team. First it was about missing the playoffs, but it finished with former coach Peter DeBoer calling out Robin Lehner on multiple occasions.
The Golden Knights have already had to move on a from a few elite players to free up salary space and now the news coming of Lehner's injury is the worst news possible for the Knights.
NEWS: Robin Lehner is expected to miss the entire 2022-23 NHL season after it was determined that he will require hip surgery. An exact timeline of his recovery is to be determined. #VegasBorn
The Knights according to Capfriendly.com, don't have a single NHL goalie available right now. With both Lehner and Brossoit on LTIR, they will most likely be starting the season with Logan Thompson, pending they don't make a trade.
Which if the Vegas Golden Knights want to make the playoffs next season, they will definitely need to acquire a new starting goaltender, which the goaltending pool is very low at the moment.
