Blackhawks Manager Leaves NHL for Other Sport
This Blackhawks executive has left the organization and the NHL after being offered to be the manager of another top sports league's team.
Blackhawks Lose Associate General Manager to Baseball
In breaking news this morning, Chicago Blackhawks Associate General Manager Jeff Greenberg has agreed to become the new General Manager of the MLB Detroit Tigers.
The Tigers have named Jeff Greenberg as the 20th General Manager in club history, as announced by President of Baseball Operations, Scott Harris.
Greenberg, 37, had interviewed for the Chicago Blackhawks General Manager job when Stan Bowman resigned, however, he was passed over for Kyle Davidson.
Greenberg's Short Tenure with the Blackhawks
Greenberg had recently joined the Blackhawks in 2022. Prior to his brief career in hockey, he spent 11 years in the Chicago Cubs organization in various roles, ultimately ending up as the Assistant General Manager before transferring his skills to the NHL.
Greenberg makes his return to the MLB in hopes of transforming the Tigers organization and helping accomplish what he did in Chicago.
