Brady Tkachuk Breaks Unwritten NHL Rule in Controversial Dirty Play
In hockey, there's an unwritten rule that players mustn't finish their hits following the whistle.
Ottawa Senators captain doesn't seem to adhere to that rule, as he laid a solid post-whistle hit on Stars' player Miro Heiskanen.
Tkachuk Destroys Heiskanen in a Post-Whistle Hit
We got another proof that Tkachuk likes to stir things up, provoke his opponents and play a physical game.
The Senators were in their defensive zone, trying to stop the Stars. Then, the whistle blew as Heiskanen was about to shoot the puck nad Tkachuk sent him flying on the ice.
Here's how it went down:
Stars Triumph Over the Senators
Despite Tkachuk's controversial play, the Stars won the game 5-4. Tkachuk scored one assists, whereas Heiskanen scored the equalizer in the third period.
Less than a minute later, Matt Duchene scored the game-winning goal.
This shows that it takes more than physicality to win in the NHL. The Stars rallied as a team following the Sens' captain's actions and ended up with the victory.
