Brady Tkachuk has been forced to leave today's Ottawa Senators versus Washington Capitals game after suffering an illegal check to the head. During the second period John Carlson delivered a high hit to the head of Tkachuk near the Capitals net.
Tkachuk was clearly shaken up on the play and Carlson was issued a 2 minute penalty for the illegal check.
Update: It appears Tkachuk has been cleared to return as he is back on the ice.
