A significant update has just been released regarding the ownership of the Leafs.
Leafs' Shares to be Sold at a Staggering Rate
Sportico reports that Larry Tanenbaum, the Chair of Maple Leafs Sports and Entertainment, is currently in the process of selling his company shares, valued at a whopping $8B.
The purchasing party is the Canadian Pension fund OMERS, set to acquire 25% of MLSE. This ownership extends to the Leafs, Raptors, Toronto FC, and the Argonauts.
