While there was a bit of elevation from the 2022 11th overall pick, the choice to eject him was simply absurd. This put an end to the 19-year-old's group stage with him scoring three points through the first three games and barely playing in the fourth.
Conor Geekie's brother, Morgan, took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to voice his complaints with the IIHF and the referees.
The elder Geekie, 25, is in his 5th NHL season and his first season with the Bruins. Through 28 games, he has scored 6 goals and 14 points which is quite solid considering his bottom-six role on the team. He previously played for the Kraken and the Hurricanes and was initially a 3rd round pick for Carolina.
The younger Geekie is yet to play in the NHL but could get action at the tail end of this season with the Coyotes. He is currently on pace for well over 100 points in the WHL this season with the Wenatchee Wild. He already has an NHL frame at 6'4", 195 lbs, and looks primed to have a lengthy NHL career.
