The Buffalo Sabres took a major step forward in 2022-23, with the emergence of both Tage Thompson and Rasmus Dahlin, and now, with the rest of their young core, we could be looking at a dark horse playoff team for the upcoming season.
A rising star
While Thompson took plenty of headlines a season ago, Dahlin's rise was just as interesting to watch, as the young defenseman had a career year in every way possible.
In 78 games, Dahlin had a career high 15 goals and 58 assists for 73 points, and with the likes of Owen Power around him, he's ready to turn this Sabres blue line into one of the best in the Eastern Conference.
An injury scare
The last thing this team needs then is an injury to Dahlin, and after he left the teams latest practice, fans were understandably worried about his health going forward.
Thankfully, it appears to just be a scare, as Dahlin himself admitted to the media after that he was fine, and coming off the ice was simply a precaution, so now, the Sabres get back to their preparation, with arguably their biggest star avoiding a major injury scare.
