Carolina Hurricanes Coach Rod Brind'Amour Loses it On His Team During In-Game Interview
During the Hurricanes' loss last night, head coach Rod Brind'Amour absolutely lost it on his team during an in-game interview for the whole world to see.
Brind'Amour Says His Team's Play Was the Worst He's Ever Seen
The Carolina Hurricanes have had a tough slide in the last few games, and just dropped a massive game against the Oilers last night 6-1. During the game, Head Coach Rod Brind'Amour let his team and the entire world watching know just how he felt during an in-game interview on the bench.
"We're on our way to losing 50-nothing right now. I've never seen a team play this brutal. At this point, you know, I'm lost for words to be quite honest. We weren't ready to start, that was clear. And now we're just doing things, not the way we do it. And this is what you get.
The brutal honesty went on after the game, as Brind'Amour continued to call out the team and its top players for not performing.
"It was just a bad game from start to finish, we didn't have anything going. I haven't seen a game like that out of us, so I'm a little bit of a loss for words. It's not acceptable, not for sure, and our top guys especially have to show up more."
Folks.for anyone watching TNTthe interview Rod Brind'Amour just gave Panger is the most honest interview you will hear. Ever.
Oilers Take Advantage of Carolina's Poor Play to Extend Win Streak
The Oilers, on the other hand, have seemingly finally figured something out. They are now on a 5 game win streak. This sort of pace will be needed from the Oilers though, for the rest of the season, if they want to make the playoffs.
Oilers fans right now after winning five straight 🫂
The Oilers are 5-0 in their last 5 and have outscored their opponents 26-8. The underlying numbers don't say they are controlling play much more than they were early in the season, but their PDO (shooting percentage and save percentage metric) has settled more where you'd expect.
Hopefully, for Oilers fans, this pace will continue and they can right the ship in time to make playoffs.
