Has everyone lost their minds? It sure seems like that sometimes, and scenes like this only reinforce that notion. This violent display took place at a youth hockey game in what appears to be Russia.
This Isn't Soccer!
It's hard to tell exactly when during the game this took place, but we know it was sometime during the third period. After a brief meeting by the scorebox, both teams start to skate away before engaging with one another in a full-out brawl. As players take one another to the ground, one kid lands a violent kick to a fallen opponent in a truly despicable act.
As the refs and coaches attempt to break up all of the violence, kids continue pounding away at one another, and it truly sucks to see such a beautiful sport delve into this madness, especially for 12-year-olds.
Goalies Stay Calm
As all of this chaos is unfolding around them, the two goalies fist bump one another and watch the fights take place side by side.
We should all aspire to be as chill as these goalies, who could've just as easily traded fists with one another but instead chose peace.
Hopefully, these kids were disciplined accordingly, as this has no place in the game of hockey.
