Darcy Kuemper's asking price is revealed - It's A LOT
It's not too often that a team will move on from a goalie immediately after winning the stanley cup, but the Colorado Avalanche made a trade for New York Rangers Alexander Georgiev today in exchange for third-round and fifth-round selection in the 2022 NHL Draft, as well as a third-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.

After this trade was made, NHL Insider Darren Dreger reported that the Darcy Kuemper will not be returning to the cup champs, and instead will be testing free agency.

As a cup winning goaltender, Kuemper will probably receive a lot of interest in free agency, and according to Dreger, Kuemper will be looking for a contract similar to what Phillip Grubauer received after leaving the Avalanche, around $6 million per season.

Kuemper is a very good goaltender, but this might be a little too much. The cup definitely did increase his value though.
