To say Colorado Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri was a warrior for the Avalanche would be a huge under statement. After having the best season of his career Kadri would continue that into the playoffs.
Unfortunately Kadri would get injured at the hands of Edmonton Oilers forward Evander Kane who hit Kadri from behind causing him to break his thumb and need surgery.
Kadri was believed to be out for the reminder of the playoffs but Kadri wasn't missing the opportunity to play in the Stanley cup finals.
Kadri would return to the playoffs, scoring the overtime winner in game four over Tampa Bay. Kadri would then give a ultimate quote to his haters after winning the Stanley cup saying,
"To All those saying I was a liability in the playoffs they can kiss my a**."
Now that the playoffs are over it's revealed Kadri had multiple breaks in his thumb and should have be out of the lineup six weeks. He would also reveal his thumb was so messed up he needed the trainer to tie his skates.
No one can ever question the heart of Kadri again after this that's for sure.
