Last night saw the ignition of an old-school style rivalry between the Oilers and Jets. Midway through the second period, Evander Kane and Brenden Dillon put the cherry on top of the new rivalry with an old-school tilt that saw both players remove their buckets.
Unfortunately for Kane, things didn't fare well for him during the tilt, as Dillon caught him with a huge few blows that likely earned him the victory in the fight.
The game was physical and packed with energy, with players leaving it all out there in a battle that saw the game head to overtime. However, this wasn't the main storyline of the night, though, as Connor McDavid appeared to miss the end of the third and all of overtime with an injury.
The Oilers suffered because of this and ended up losing to Dillon and the Jets in OT.
