A former player from the World Junior Championships has tragically passed away.
World Juniors Star Passes Away Gone Too Soon
Recently there was an announcement made that Michele Basso has passed away at the age of 26.
Basso reportedly passed away after a long battle with a disease,
Basso Becomes World Juniors Star For Italy
Basso played for Italy at both the U18 and U20 levels. Basso played at the Division 1A level with the Italian team at the World Junior Championships.
He played 5 games and had 1 point during his time at the World Juniors. He also had the opportunity to play professional hockey in Italy playing a total of 16 professional games in his career.
