Jaromir Jagr Hints at NHL Comeback
The 51-year-old has not hung up the skates just yet and may not anytime soon.
Jaromir Jagr Hints at NHL Comeback
Jaromir Jagr is the 2nd leading NHL scorer of all time playing with 9 teams throughout his NHL career. Jagr who has played 24 seasons in the NHL and countless more across Europe has not retired from professional hockey and has hinted at a comeback with the Pittsburgh Penguins in a recent post.
While it is unlikely that Jagr returns as a player, he could certainly come back as a coach. With Pittsburgh's manager situation up in the air, the owners have all of the power in team decisions.
Mario Lemieux, Jagr's former linemate and good friend, is still a minority owner of the Penguins and could be pushing for Jagr to get a role in the front office so Jagr can finally retire from playing the sport of hockey.
While he could continue to play, maybe the decades of hockey have taken a toll on his body and he is looking to get a less physically demanding role in the game.
