Kyle Dubas has acclimated himself quite nicely into the city of Pittsburgh since his hiring as their President of Hockey Operations. While it didn't take the young executive very long to move on from Toronto, it looks like his heart may have never even been in the 6ix.
Pittsburgh Feels Like Home
Kyle Dubas met with the Pittsburgh media recently to discuss the upcoming challenges he's set to face this offseason. During this press conference, he was asked about his time in Toronto as the General Manager of the Maple Leafs, and how his time in Pittsburgh has differed so far. His answer was quite telling.
"It's a great city, but here [Pittsburgh] feels like home." - Kyle Dubas
Surprising words from the man who spent nine years in the Maple Leafs organization, but he's gone now.
Unnecessary Shot
Some fans felt like Dubas' comments on Toronto were unnecessary, especially given how recently he departed from the team. Dubas didn't have to make the comment about Toronto not feeling like "home" to him, but he did anyway.
It appears Dubas isn't too concerned about making enemies in the city of Toronto. It will be a whole new experience for Dubas in Pittsburgh, so he better prepare himself for the ride.
