Lars Eller smokes Jesperi Kotkaniemi forcing him to leave the game injured
Lars Eller comes in for a huge hit with only 2 seconds left in the game and delivered what was initially thought of as a dirty check to the head of Jesperi Kotkaniemi. A Major penalty was initially called on the play, but because it was a Major, the referee's were allowed to review the play and after further review, they deemed it was only a minor charging penalty.
Jesperi Kotkaniemi though was injured on the play and while there was only 2 seconds left in the game, he was limping to the dressing room. If you watch closely it looks as though he lands a little awkwardly on his leg and Lars Eller may have fallen slightly on it as well.
