Linesman Saves Gilbert From Scary Injury During Fight

The Calgary Flames and Nashville Predators game saw some action last night at the end of the first period, as Dennis Gilbert took on Michael McCarron of the Nashville Predators in a fight.

While the fight was nothing out of the ordinary, as it was coming to an end, the linesman jumped in to prevent Gilbert from hitting his head against the ice as he fell.

While it still looks like Gilbert hit his head, it appears the linesman did his best to soften the blow. This is one of the most dangerous parts of fighting and one of the reasons the NHL has taken steps to try and reduce the number of times helmets are removed during fights.

Predators Get the Last Laugh In the Win Against Flames

The Predators were able to squeak out the win against the Flames 4-2 last night. This extends the Predators win streak to 3 games in a row.

THREE IN A ROW!

The Predators will hope to use this win streak to continue to spark their season, as they had a pretty slow start to the year. They currently sit at 8-10, in the middle of the standings.
