The Toronto Marlies have announced they have officially signed Josh Ho-Sang to a 1 year AHL deal.
According to Luke Fox from Sportsnet this deal allows the Leafs to avoid placing Ho-Sang on waivers, while simply being able to sign him to an NHL deal if a call up is needed or warranted.
This is a great move by the Maple Leafs utilizing their buying power and location of their farm team to give a very talented player another chance in North America. Look for Ho-Sang to get the call up if the Leafs run into scoring trouble as his creativity and talent truly is NHL calibre, while his defensive skills leave a lot to be desired.
