If your a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs you might not like this new piece of news.
According to TSN's Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, Toronto Maple Leafs super star Auston Matthews could be heading to the Arizona Coyotes once he's able via "Free agency."
Matthews was the Toronto Maple Leafs 1st overall pick in the 2016 NHL draft and hasn't disappointed since his first NHL game, scoring four goals vs the Ottawa Senators.
Last season Matthews shattered the record for most goals in a season by a Toronto Maple Leafs' in franchise history with 60 goals and 106 Points.
Matthews is an Arizona native, and has been rumoured previously to want to head back to Arizona when he is a free agent, but now with this coming from someone like Darren Dreger, it definitely could be a cause for concern in Leafs Nation. Matthews has already put up 259 goals, and 198 assists, in 457 games with the Leafs.
