A young QMJHL player from the Shawinigan Cataractes, Lou-Félix Denis, has been suspended for 5 games for violating the QMJHL's anti-discrimination policy after targeting allegedly Russian player Evgenii Kashnikov.
We have stated this many times but this is something that cannot begin to happen to Russian players who are in North America just playing hockey. They do not have any say in the politics that go on in their country.
Should the QMJHL have made more of a statement with this and given Denis a larger suspension?
