This week we saw a former top-10 draft pick get put on waivers from the Minnesota Wild and claimed by the Buffalo Sabres.
Now we are seeing three NHL veterans placed on waivers for the purpose of sending to the AHL.
Two of these players are hitting the waiver-wire for the second time this season, while this is the first time for one of them.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have once again placed Wayne Simmonds on waivers. The Seattle Kraken have placed Magnus Hellberg on waivers after claiming him from the Ottawa Senators, and the Nashville Predators have placed Zach Sanford on waivers.

One thing the Toronto Maple Leafs have been heavily critizied for this season is their toughness, so it's interesting to see Simmonds once again on waivers. Perhaps we will see a team like Edmonton snap him up as there is some need for toughness on the Oilers after the Evander Kane injury.
