BREAKING: DEVASTATING news for Morgan Rielly and the Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs hosted the New York Islanders last night, it was a hard fought battle on both sides and ended up being a 3-2 New York Islanders Overtime win.
But today the score is not what's being talked about. First whats been all over the media was the knee-on-knee hit on Auston Matthews, but he is not injured from the hit so it will get blown over, but the serious issue is their top defenceman, Morgan Rielly who left the game injured.

The Maple Leafs confirmed today the worst possible news as Rielly has been placed on Long-term Injured reserve with a knee injury.

He will now miss a minimum of 10 games, which is going to be devastating for the Maple Leafs as they are already missing Jake Muzzin.
The veteran defender had yet to score a goal this season, but was still producing point wise with 16 assists in the 20 games.
