The Boston Bruins are having a season for the ages as they are setting records with their victories and are really living in the ''last dance'' season.

Through 74 games, the Boston Bruins have a 57-12-5 record, and have 16 points on the second place Carolina Hurricanes. Heading into the playoffs they are the clear favourite to win the cup this season, and last night against the Nashville Predators, they had a chance to lock in the Presidents Trophy for the best regular season team, but ended up coming short and losing to the Predators 2-1.

At the end of the game, the shots were 36-22 in favour of the Bruins, but despite outplaying them, they still took a loss, and Bruins star winger Brad Marchand was not happy with his teams performance:

Brad Marchand on the 2-1 loss to Nashville: "We obviously took them lightly. We seemed to get up for the teams that we could potentially face down the road. I think we were a little disrespectful of the game tonight. It is what it is. Learn from it. Move on"

The Bruins have only had one small losing streak this season, so they do ''learn from it'' as Marchand stated, but he definitely was not happy with the teams performance. While the regular season is clearly in the bag for the Bruins, it's important that they do not start to ''coast'' the remainder of the way. We've seen many times that a team starts the playoffs slow because they have not played a meaningful game in weeks due to them being so high up in the standings.
