The Carolina Hurricane made some splashes this offseason, they brought in fan-favourite, best beard in the NHL, Brent Burns, and also brought in Max Pacioretty from the Vegas Golden Knights for nothing.
For years now the Carolina Hurricanes have been a favourite to make it to the cup finals from the East, but they seem to just fizzle out in the playoffs.
Well, this hopes to finally be their year as the young players on the team are a bit older and they've brought in some veteran experience to add to their ranks.
They also just brought in another veteran who was once a top draft pick in Calvin De Haan.
De Haan was a former 12th overall pick to the New York Islanders way back in 2009. Since being drafted, De Haan has played in 520 games registering 119 points on 3 different NHL teams.
