It's an unfortunate day for the Montreal Canadiens and the hockey world. The Montreal Canadiens took to twitter today to announce the passing of someone from our hockey family, a former Canadien.
The Canadiens are saddened to learn of the passing of Louis «Lulu» Denis, who enjoyed a brief stint with the team in 1949-50 and 1950-51. Our condolences go out to his family, friends, and former teammates.
Denis only played in 3 National Hockey League games, spending the majority of his time in the minor leagues, but he was quite the player in the QSHL, QHL and EPL.
Putting up 40+ points on a consistent basis is quite the accomplishment.
On behalf of House of Hockey, we just want to wish our sincerest condolences to the family and friends. Denis passes away at the age of 94, but leaves quite the legacy and will always be remembered as a Montreal Canadien.
