With all the controversy over that signing, this NHL Insider, Ian Kennedy of the Hockey News broke the news that a former first round pick will not be eligible to play in the NHL either.
That player being Montreal Canadiens draft pick, Logan Mailloux.

Mailloux was drafted back in 2021 31st overall by the Montreal Canadiens. After getting into a sexual misconduct lawsuit over in Europe, Mailloux told teams not to draft him in 2021, he wanted to prove that he could be better and make things right for the wrongs he did. Despite his plea for teams not to draft him, Marc Bergevin did it anyways.
After the legal case, he has completed all conditions that was given to him which included rehabilitation and therapy. He is now playing in the Ontario Hockey League, but according to Ian Kennedy, he will not be making it to the NHL anytime soon.
