Incase you somehow missed it, last night in a game between the Edmonton Oilers and Tampa Bay Lighting in what could very possibly be a Stanley Cup final, Edmonton Oilers Evander Kane had his wrist slit open by the skate of Pat Maroon.
He was quickly rushed to the hospital and the team announced that he had undergone surgery to repair the injury.
Kane himself gave an update today on his well-being, and seems to be in good spirits after the surgery.
The Edmonton Oilers made an announcement today to state how long they expect to miss Evander:
#Oilers forward Evander Kane has been placed on LTIR & is expected to miss 3-4 months
Kane has been a major part of the offensive since arriving in Edmonton, it will drastically hurt this team missing him for so long.
