Just seconds after the free agency opened on July 13th it was announced that the Canucks were signing Mikheyev to a 4 year deal with an AAV of $4,750,000.
The 27 year old Russian was coming off career highs in both goals (21) and points (32).
Unfortunately for Mikheyev, in his first game with the Canucks in pre-season Mikheyev took a hit from a Calgary Flames player and it doesn't look like we will be seeing him anytime soon:

According to NHL Insider Frank Seravelli, Mikheyev might have some ACL problems.
Ugh @frank_seravalli telling us that there's concern Mikheyev has a torn ACL. Jason Brough 🙁 (@SadClubCommish) September 29, 2022
