The Maple Leafs starting goalie has recently returned from injury, but in two of his games back there has been quite a bit of controversy around the games.
Murray has been frequently knocking the net off in recent games, and it happened quite a few times again today, to the point where the referee's went to have a chat with him.

But after this play today, people had enough and started calling him out:
3-2 Leafs after 2. Not much going on for the Wild offensively that period...Boldy's goal, then the chance St. Pierre allowed Murray to intentionally knock the net off the moorings.

Again, Murray ends a long shift by knocking the net off the moorings. Justin St. Pierre now giving him a good talking to. Absolute joke Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) November 25, 2022

So, to recap, Murray intentionally ruined a Wild scoring chance in the second period by knocking the net and ended a minute shift by the Eriksson Ek line by doing the same thing one game after doing all the same stuff in New Jersey. And the refs ignore it Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) November 25, 2022
What do you know? Matt Murray knocks the net off for a third time tonight. Fans losing their skulls. Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) November 25, 2022
They're now fixing the moorings....They're re-drilling.
Only way to dig deep enough to stop Murray from doing this is if they actually strike oil Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) November 25, 2022
Evason upset about the Murray net moorings issue tonight. Says it makes no sense that you can do that three times with no repercussions on scoring chances/extended shifts and goalie coach Freddy Chabot told him it's a «trend with that goaltender» Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) November 25, 2022
Dean Evason on Matt Murray knocking the net off the moorings 3 times tonight (1 ruined a scoring chance, 1 was with Ek line buzzing for 66 seconds. Referee Justin St. Pierre was the in-zone ref all 3 times) https://t.co/hq8PQYEWcy pic.twitter.com/9FlZNZQeGa Michael Russo (@RussoHockey) November 25, 2022
