Last night the Winnipeg Jets walloped on the Colorado Avalanche in what finished as a 5-0 win for the Jets, but that isn't the story everyone is talking about today.

A crowd fight erupted during the game and one fan got seriously injured after hitting his head off the boards.

In the third period when Blake Wheeler scored the 3rd goal of the game, security was called in to remove two Colorado Avalanche fans who were getting rowdy.

The two were reported to be very intoxicated and starting to cause issues with their team losing, and when security arrived, it couldn't have gone any worse.

The two did not want to leave quietly and it caused a crowd fight to erupt.

A security guard was having a hard time dealing with the two fans and a Winnipeg Jets fan stepped in to help. This is when anarchy broke loose and one of the two Avalanche fans along with the Jets fan who was helping, went for a tumble down the stairs, and the Jets fan who was helping, smoked his head off the boards, which caused a very large cut on his head and according to people who saw the whole incident, he was bleeding very badly.

Here is an up-close look as to what happened:
