The New York Rangers had a disappointing 2022-23 season after a big step forward the year before, and now they may be considering some drastic changes.
A big time star
According to Eklund of Hockey Buzz, the New York Rangers are potentially listening to trade calls on Chris Kreider, the man that has become a leader for this team in recent years.
Whether or not they are actively moving him is yet to be seen, but that report states that the Avalanche, Wild and Red Wings have all made contact with New York in an efford to land him.
A home grown superstar
While Kreider hasn't always been a star for the Rangers, he's come into his own in recent years, scoring 88 goals and 160 games over the past two years, so this would certainly be a shock.
The Rangers certainly need to get younger, with no member of their forward group sitting between the age of 24 and 29, so moving Kreider would be a major shock, but could be the shake up this team needs.
