Recently, Eklund of HockeyBuzz.com revealed that Noah Hanifin could be heading to the Nashville Predators.
Hanifin was originally drafted 5th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes and was traded to Calgary in a massive deal that sent him and Elias Lindholm to Calgary and Dougie Hamilton and Adam Fox back to Carolina.
He is known as a two way defenseman with who is more sound defensively but can chip in offensively when needed.
While the details of these rumors are unknown, it can be assumed that there is at least a pick or two involved with the deal.
It can also be assumed that Dante Fabbro, a defenseman a year younger than Hanifin, could be going back to Calgary as a temporary replacement.
If this does materialize, we are likely looking at Hanifin either slotting in on his offhand on the top pairing with Roman Josi or we are seeing Hanifin playing on the second pair behind Josi.
