The Buffalo Sabres are making their season debut tonight. One of their star defensemen started off the game with a bang after laying a massive hip check.
Dahlin Destroys Chytil With A Hip Check
Early on in the contest between the Buffalo Sabres and New York Rangers Rasmus Dahlin was looking to get some momentum back for his team. The Sabres were down 2-0 at the time and looking a bit sluggish. In steps Rasmus Dahlin with a huge hip check that got the Sabres' momentum going.
WHAT A HIT BY RASMUS DAHLIN
Dahlin made his presence known early in the game and was one of the bright spots for the team early in the game. He will have to be great if the Sabres are going to reach the goals they have set for themselves this season.
Dahlin Led Sabres Looking To Break The Streak
The Buffalo Sabres have the longest current playoff drought in the NHL. Their young core just barely missed the playoffs last season. Now with some new additions and more experience, the expectations are sky-high for the Sabres.
Rasmus Dahlin along with players like Tage Thompson, Jeff Skinner, Owen Power, and Devon Levi will have a new experience this season. They will be playing in Buffalo with playoff expectations for the first time in their tenure in Buffalo.
Anything less than playoffs will feel like a disappointment and the group knows this. They will need to get off to a good start to be on the right track to break their streak of going home after the regular season.
