In hockey we love big hits and fights, but no one ever wants to see someone significantly hurt.
This past Friday in a game between the Danbury Hat Tricks and Binghamton Black Bears of the Federal Prospects Hockey League, we saw a hit that left a player knocked out.
In the 3rd period of the game Danbury's player Daniel Amesbury throws a huge hit on Black Bears Gavin Yates, which leaves him unconscious on the ice.
He was out for several minutes before being assisted off the ice. A 5 minute major was issued for the hit.
