Fighting has always been a part of the NHL. Hockey and fighting go together like PB&J, and many can't imagine a hockey world without fighting. However, a new study could spill the end for fighting in the NHL as we know it.
Fighting Could Lead to Earlier Deaths
The idea that fighting could ever be erased from hockey is ridiculous, but a new study has concerning health implications for those who make a career out of it. Apparently, NHL players who fight could die up to 10 years earlier than those who don't.
The study was conducted by the very reputable Columbia University, and shows concerning results for those who traded fists often.
What do you think about this study, is this correlation, or causation?
