Devils Head Coach Takes Shots at His Team After Crushing Game Four Loss
Yesterday evening, the Hurricanes won to increase their lead to 3-1 over the Devils.
New Jersey simply wasn't up to the challenge and lost 6-1.
Vitek Vanecek didn't perform well, and after the Canes' fifth goal, the young Akira Schmid came in. But the damage was already done.
What's problematic is that none of the Devils' offensive talents worked hard enough to get their team back in the game.
Lindy Ruff called them out in his post-game press conference.
Devils' Head Coach Takes Shots at His Team After Crushing Game Four Loss
Jack Hughes scored a goal, but that's it. The other players failed to get their names on the score sheet. A simple reason could explain it all: they didn't play as a team.
Here are Ruff's comments about this:
"We had guys that just went rogue. You can call that lack of experience. Even the power play turned into one man trying to something and the next time trying to do something. There was no team effort."
The Devils are on the brink of elimination and they'll need to make a greater effort in every game if they want to reach the next round.
